I believe offering support to other freelance writers has a lot to do with giving back. So, when I pitch stories to prospective targets, I try to include my colleagues. How? By suggesting that conduct interviews, request quotes, or do a combination of the two in an article, blog post, or series. That way, when the piece goes live, it gives the writer an opportunity to add to their content marketing.
We all know how digital marketing, social media marketing strategies, and content marketing are all playing off of each other. Therefore, when articles and blog posts such as these are available, it’s another opportunity for writers to promote and build links.
My goal for this year is to work in this capacity more frequently as a way of giving back. It’s my hope my that efforts help other writers (or whomever I’m interviewing or receiving quotes from) receive high-quality materials they can use for their marketing. I’m looking forward to seeing the results and hearing their feedback.
