In our discussions of late on reviews and authors’ reactions to reviews, I thought it would be helpful to take a look at the elements of a good review. And when I say “good,” I mean helpful. For the readers. Because that’s what reviews are about. Helping readers decide if this is a book for them. So here are some things, based on book reviews out there, for reviewers to keep in mind.
Source: 6 Elements of a Good Book Review –
Earlier today, C Hope Clark shared that she had a goal for reaching 100 reviews on all her books with less than that count. So, she posted a call for reviewers (which I will be participating in because her work is amazing).
That led to her also sharing the article linked above about the elements of a good book review. Many have difficulty with book reviewing and understanding the mechanics of it, so I thought I would include the link she shared here as well. I reposted it on my Facebook page, but I thought having it here would also be beneficial.
Stay tuned for my review of C Hope Clark’s book, Newberry Sin. I’ll be posting my review on Amazon, as well as on this blog. If you’ve read any of her work, what do you think? I’ve been a fan for years!
